Max and the Magic Marker by Electronic Arts (@EAMobile) is only $1.99 and $4.99 (HD) in the App Store!
(Compatible with iPhone 3GS & 4, iPod touch 3rd & 4th gen, and iPad)
Play as Max and draw yourself through many different levels and areas in the game. Need a bridge? Collect enough ink for your marker and draw yourself a bridge. Attack enemies by dropping a line on them. No, that doesn’t mean calling them. It means literally drawing a line and smashing it on their heads from above. If they’re wearing hardhats, your line will be ineffective until they take the hat off. Create contraptions to keep you out of rain or to get to a raised platform, etc. This game is basically created by you, making it a lot of fun. This review is quite short, due to the fact that you may not be able to stop playing this game. Must get back…
Graphics and Audio:
The audio includes an upbeat soundtrack, which makes this game a fun experience. The graphics are cartoony-retro, in the sense that it’s supposed to look like a child’s game, yet hold an authentic look to it. For this kind of game, the graphics are well done and the audio even better. This is definitely one of those addicting games, such as Angry Birds is to many people. Whether you’re playing on an iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad, this game looks and sounds great, even though it doesn’t need to, since it’s so much fun to play.
Gameplay and Controls:
The point of this game is for you to come up with your own creative drawings, in order to propel yourself to the end of the level, while collecting special objects and getting rewarded for them, as well as being rewarded for your speed. You can pause the game at any point in the level, and draw anything that will save you, even while you’re in mid-air, which may happen a lot. If you look above, you’ll see the person has drawn a boat to get over the whales. There are so many creative objects in the levels already, that yours will make this game so much more fun and it becomes very addicting. Step aside, Angry Birds, Max and the Magic Marker are coming through. Draw yourself a game and play it to the end. Many levels (58 of them!) in 3 different environments create a great experience and it’s all up to you how to finish them. Oh, there’s also an Evil Monster in there…so watch out!
Finally:
Surprisingly, this may be the best game to play for a few minutes or even a few hours out of the day. Max and the Magic Marker may be more of an addicting fun experience than Angry Birds, when it comes gameplay. Electronic Arts has created another hit game and it wouldn’t be surprising if this became the #1 Paid App in the App Store very soon! Go ahead and check it out. It’s worth it!

I really like this game because it’s like a traditional chinese fairy tale.
This game seems to be lots of fun and btw I’m from Denmark
This looks great fun. Hmmm, I’m going to have to get hold of it and review it, and as it’s EA I’m probably going to have to buy it rather than hold out for a code… ah well, it looks worth it!
I don’t personally have this app but I’ve played it on my fiends iPod and it’s very addictive. As it says in the graphic above this really is a top app. Ea continues to amaze.
I’m disappointed that it won’t run with legacy equipment, but at least the developers bothered to tell you this beforehand. Nothing makes me angrier than buying an app only to discover that it won’t function with my system!
